Swan Box – Dhokra

Dhokra is a non-ferrous metal (rust free) prepared by using lost-wax casting technique. The alloy is a mixture of (nickel, brass and zinc). The alloy usually casted by using two types of processes mainly solid casting (By using a solid piece of wax to create the mould) and hollow casting (it is a traditional method by using the clay core) . This piece of art is a box with the swan structure which is perfect for home decor as a show piece.
